ROLE WITH SOS: CEO/Founder – Head of Global Sales

HOW LONG YOU’VE BEEN HERE: Since the beginning

YOUR AFFILIATION WITH BEING A RUNNER: Running is in my veins and whilst I’m now old, I still love a run 4 to 6 times a week as it helps me focus and relax. Back in the far far distant past I ran for Great Britain over 800m. I won the National Mile championships and I ran for the British Army.

INTERESTING AND FRIENDLY FACTS: I used host weekend news on Sports Centre’s ESPN. I love brightly coloured socks, in fact I don’t own a black pair. I’m a morning person. After SOS, Champagne is my favourite drink, well Procescco. I’m an entrepreneur. I have lived in 27 places since I was born on a February morning in Yorkshire back when computers didn’t exist.

 

 

THOMAS MAYO (NZ)

ROLE WITH SOS: Founder – Head of Global Marketing and Creative

HOW LONG YOU’VE BEEN HERE: Since the beginning when cavemen were first thirsty.

YOUR AFFILIATION WITH BEING A RUNNER: I have ran a mile in 3 minutes and 55 seconds and now run to get my board whenever the surf is on.

INTERESTING AND FRIENDLY FACTS:
I boarded 243 flights through 2016.
I read track and field results and local surf reports every day.
I love the dehydrators of coffee and IPA Beer and then reversing the damage by drinking SOS.
I know that SOS will be a world leader one day.
I know that SOS has an amazing team of people who will shape the future world of Hydration for years to come.

 

 

BLANCA LIZAOLA-MAYO

ROLE WITH SOS: Chief medical officer/ Founder

HOW LONG YOU’VE BEEN HERE: Since before the beginning

YOUR AFFILIATION WITH BEING A RUNNER: I’m married to a runner. I love running to keep fit though I’m not as good as Tom or James. I prefer Zumba.

INTERESTING AND FRIENDLY FACTS: It was me who formulated SOS unique and secret recipe. I’m a Board-certified internal medicine physician, currently pursuing a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology.

 

 

DAN WALLIS

ROLE WITH SOS: Chief Content Officer : As the Chief Content Officer as SOS, I’m responsible for telling the story of our brand.

HOW LONG YOU’VE BEEN HERE: I’ve been involved with SOS since 2014, beginning as a sponsored athlete back in New Zealand.

YOUR AFFILIATION WITH BEING A RUNNER: When I’m not thinking and writing about SOS, I’m a professional distance runner for Nike. In 2016 I made my debut at the Chicago marathon, finishing 17th in 2:19.

INTERESTING AND FRIENDLY FACTS: I am a graduate of Colorado State University, where I ran Track and Cross-Country and have spent most of the past 10 years in the U.S.

 

 

IAN HOUGH (UK)

ROLE WITH SOS: UK manager

HOW LONG YOU’VE BEEN HERE: Since we launched in the UK in 2014

YOUR AFFILIATION WITH BEING A RUNNER: I was a semi pro footballer turned 800m runner, my brother ‘Rob Hough’ was a Team GB Steeple chaser ‘He loved getting his feet wet’

INTERESTING AND FRIENDLY FACTS: I’m a dad to two crazy energetic boys who both love football and running. You will see me chasing them around the park while they’re chasing Pokemon Go!

 

 

CHANTELLE FONDREN

ROLE WITH SOS: Operations Manager.

HOW LONG YOU’VE BEEN HERE: For one year.

YOUR AFFILIATION WITH BEING A RUNNER: I was NCAA all American at DII level (Saginaw Valley/UCCS). Now I live and train in Seattle, Washington. Currently training to get my dog tired! I ran loads in college and I love the 5K.

INTERESTING AND FRIENDLY FACTS: I’m an outdoor enthusiast. Whether it be hiking through the woods, climbing up mountains, or fishing in streams, I enjoy it all! I love the sport of track and field and the community which surrounds the sport.

 

 

DANIELLE LUNINGHAM

ROLE WITH SOS: USA sales manager

HOW LONG YOU’VE BEEN HERE: Been with the company over 2 years

YOUR AFFILIATION WITH BEING A RUNNER: 3 x half iron man finisher.

INTERESTING AND FRIENDLY FACTS: I have been a Pilates instructor for 4 years. I enjoy working out and being outdoors! I love to travel and explore new places by running. Cooking is one of my favorite ways to wind down and try something new!.
